a quick ram question

afternoon all, i have 4 sticks of 4200 533 mz ddr2 ram (512mb), each in a slot capable of 1 gb.
have had problems recently and narrowed this down to a failing ram module, i took the faulty one back to the shop, he tested it and agreed it was faulty, but he had no more in stock, so gave ne a 5200 ddr2 ram stick and told me it would be the same as the others, i have fitted it and it has soved my problem, but does it matter which slot the 5200 stick goes in?
thanks
adam

No
It will just slowdown to match the others.

Nope. Won't make any difference - but as Fruit Bat says it will slow down to match the others.

thanks very much, just wanted to check
thanks again
