Quick launch taskbar

  greybeard 17:52 14 Dec 04

Win98 with the desktop set in classic style.

Trying to set up shortcuts on the desktop of a friends system, I cannot get the quick launch taskbar to work.
It doesn't allow me to drag a short cut from the desktop onto the taskbar.
Right clicking on the taskbar doesn't give a "Toolbar" option.
Also, right clicking on desktop icons does not give any menu. Right clicking on programmes in the start menu does.
Did the quick launch only appear with 98se ?
Help please.

Thanks, that is probably the answer. I'll tick after I've checked it out.

Hi Woodchip, according to the reference I linked to above, if you install Internet Explorer 4.0 or above onto Windows 95 or 98, you also get the Quick launch taskbar option.
