Hi All,
I've somehow dragged the "Show Desktop Icon" from the quick launch area onto the desktop. I've tried dragging it back but it just creates a shortcut leaving the original icon on the desktop.
Any help would be appreciated

Hi terryf,
sure as explained in my original post each time that I tried to drag this "Show Desktop" icon back into the quick launch area either by clicking right or left mouse button and dragging just created a shortcut icon in the quick launch area leaving the original icon still on the desktop.

I found that the correct method is to click right mouse button and drag the "show Desktop" Icon fully into the quick launch area and then briefly release the mouse button and a small menu opens and the words "Move Here" in bold print are shown just left click these words and the icon is replaced back into the Quick Launch list.
Regards
OldRed.
