Question mark

In IE7 I often get a question mark replacing the first digit in a price e.g. if the price on the site is say 6.95 I will get ?.95, or if the price is say 123.45 I will get ?23.45

I also get Japanese/Chinese style characters appearing seemingly at random as well.

A few months ago this was fixed when I went to Windows update & updated everything they said needed doing but this hasn't worked this time.

XpPro SP2

Any ideas?

In IE7, click on View/Encoding, you will then see various options. Try Western European (Windows) or Unicode (UTF-8)or even play about with the options and see which one suits you best.
