hi,

jsut out of interest, whats the difference between an 'Upgrade' version of vista and a 'Retail' version of vista, apart from the price obviously?

is it that in the upgrade version, you neef to have an original windows XP disc?

because ift hastt he case, couldnt someone jsut buy a /buy windows XP disc and use vista that way?

i cant really make sence of them.

Upgrade assumes you have a valid copy of XP on your machine already. Retail is to install and reinstall on a different machine if the first machine goes belly up.
