Question about DIMM

  Alf58 18:51 28 Jan 07

I'm considering upgrading the ram in my computer. My existing memory is 184 pin Dimm PC2100 DDR.
I have seen 184pin dimm on sale advertised at as PC 3100 or even PC 400. If the memory is 184 pin DIMM would it work in my machine if was something other than PC2100?

My machine is a Medion desktop with a Pentium 4 2.8mhz

Do you mean PC3200?

then in most cases, yes.

Which model of medion is it?

If it's 184 pin DDR it should run fine; if it's clocked faster, it will just run at the slower speed.

Visit click here and they will tell you what RAM to use - they will often suggest PC3100 RAM.
