I have Google . co . uk as my home page (boring I know) but I can't currently access it but can access any other pages I choose?

I was trying to find this site click here which has been relocated. It comes in handy when this happens.

You've ticked this so you might not read it, but in case you do this is handy to know. If go to the command line and type 'ping www. google.co.uk' it will test the site directly by returning its address like this:

PING www. l.google.com ( 56(84) bytes of data.

You can do that with any site to check if its on line.

Thanks for that as I found it useful.
I am sure that some other forum members will also find it useful as well!

Thanks. I have used the ping command and tracert before to diagnose problems with my network etc. but have never thought to use it for this purpose. After I typed the link to Site up, I read the advice on the site up page on how to perform these tests from your own PC and realised I could do this just as well myself.
