puzzling Instant ShutDown

Anyone get this problem......It seems that every day or so, at no particular time and regardless of what im doing, i might be typing or whatever and i hit the enter button the pc does an instant restart.

Anyone have any ideas?

I had this problem once Mal, a quick check of the power lead fixed it (it had come loose).

Try doind a disk scan, i had this problem for a while untill i found a disk error so maybe a chk disk would help :)

I'm currently running XP Home edition with.

Pentium 4 2933Mhz (2x 133)
M-board Chipset: Intel Grantsdale Gi915GV
System Memory: 1013 MB (DDR SDRAM)

Primary HDD: Seagate 80gb SATA
Slave HDD: Seagate 250gb SATA
Ext USB HDD: Maxtor 120gb IDE

But my power supply is 300 watts.

You guys think i need more wattage??
