Putting "Deleted" files beyond retrieval

  blackrook 09:20 10 Feb 08

For security I would like to clear a computer's hard drive of all the files already "deleted" before passing it on to someone else.

Could someone please recommend the cheapest and easiest way to do this? Also, as the files to be removed are already "deleted", how can I be sure that whatever I do has truly put them beyond retrieval?

To check that the files are comletely ddeleted try a file recovery tool such as click here before and after using Eraser.

PS to use Eraser right click on the drive in My Computer and select "Erase unused space".
