Purchasing Microsoft XP Query

I have been in the market for a new Microsoft XP Pro piece of software. It was surprising that I was offered a range of 'packages' which on the face of it, didn't seem very different.

I found that it was just as easy to buy XP Pro retail or OEM, as it was to buy a 'system builders' pack. What's the difference between 'system builders'and 'public versions', I couldn't find any difference, price-wise or otherwise.

The same thing applies to packs being supplied with hardware and non-hardware. Ebuyer for instance, still offer this option using different stock codes.
