Purchasing correct memory

  j3nks 19:02 14 Feb 04

I'm looking at a new motherboard which gives its memory type as 184 DIMM socket Non-ECC DDR400 Dual-Chanel memory technology, the memory I'm looking at is specified as PC3200 DDR with a choise of Non Parity CL3 and ECC Unbuffered CL3 both of which appear to be compatible.
What is the differance between the 2 types and which one is compattable?
Hope you can help
