I have decided to give puppy linux a try, running it from a USB drive, I beleave that no antivirus is needed, is this the case or have I been misinformed

Not needed, but I heard F-prot is apparently included? They say it's useful for scanning Windows partitions - i.e. if Windows is infected & one cannot boot into the latter (click here). G
