Hi

Using Publisher 98 and want to put some text on a picture, But I don't want a big blank area around the text.

I just want the text alone ontop of the picture.

How do I achieve this simple task

Eternally grateful

Select your graphic or photo and place on the page. Look to the tool bar on the left, select the "Text" box. Move your cursor to any spot on the page left click the mouse and drag out the box to roughly the size you require, write your text in the box then drag the text box over the graphic.

Although you will see the outlines of both boxes it will not print. Go to File/print preview to check.

You can do this in many different ways by setting the order of text/graphic and sending it to the rear or bring to the front.
