Anyone know what ptipbmf.dll is?
Every time I start windows (XP) it says - Error loading ptipbmf.dll The specified module could not be found.
Haven’t recently removed anything. Have tried sfc /scannow/ Cccleaner/ spybot/ etc but nothing finds or fixes it.
Nothing seems to be malfunctioning. PC just pauses a while as it seems to be looking for the dll
So do you know what it is or how to fix it?

It appears to belong to Promise RAID Controller. Try reinstalling the drivers.

How? and where from?

dOWNLOAD IT FROM click here unzip the downloaded file and copy and paste the ptipbmf.dll file from the unzipped folder to your C:/Windows/System32 folder, see if it cures the problem.

That’s done the trick.
Easy when you know how.
Many thanks.
