I have just fitted a new graphics card [nvidia7600gs] only to find it needs a lead connected from the PSU to power it.

my 400 watt PSU has only 4 power connects which I use for two hard drives and two dvd drives is it possible to get a two in one extension to one of these sockets to give me an extra socket for the graphics card?

Yes you can get them at Maplins.

Is it the standard moulinex connectors that go into hard drives / cdrom drives? If yes. Then you can get doublers that turn one connector into two.

Just be wary that the card doesn't draw to much power
and wrecks the PSU. Check the spec of the graphics card as to what it needs to power it.

You might find that 400 watts is not enough to power all you have, given that some manufacturers can and do, over state the wattage.

Agree with Jimv7 here.

i would be upgrading the psu to something branded and 500watt maybe more.

If the specs for the card state it needs a more powerfull PSU, change it or it will pop.
