psu connections..?

i have just recieved new psu ..but found that it has 24 pin connectors and my board connection only has 20 can i get a step down for this..?..or will i have to get another psu ..i have looked but somewhat confused by the phrasing as i thought i had bought the right one..many thanks for any help..ian

Try looking at a site like eBuyer or Dabs - they tend to have this sort of stuff.

But you're probably better off returning the one you have and getting one designed to fit.

A PSU with a 24 pin connector is not a problem. I recently bought a new PSU and although the website said it was a 20 pin connector it was actually 24 pin.

A bought an adaptor click here and it worked a treat.

Just a thought i recently bought a new case with a PSU already installed for a new buil, and this had a 24 pin connector, but after closer inspection 4 pins were detachable and it fit my 20 pin connector.
