ProPort v2.2 uninstall

I've recently installed the ProPort program, but because it is so intrusive by stopping me from dialling up and reporting an attack on port 1024 by remote I.P. 127.0.0.1 (even when the modem is not plugged in and all my Norton virus scan software is kept up to date) I would like to remove it but I am unable to. I keep getting reports that this programm is in use and access is denied. There is no uninstall wizard and it does not appear in the Add or Remove programmes panel. I can not get any information from the software companies web site. Can any one help please?

If you are using XP then open the run dialog box START-RUN and type msconfig. Go to the startup tag and untick Proport.exe. Reboot and it should not start again. Then delete the directory it was installed to. This will probably leave junk keys in the registry but even uninstallers leave these behind.
