"A programme failed to initialize, Windows will now shut down."

I've been getting this message whenever I shut down today. The shutdown process works, but I'm wondering why the above message has started appearing (albeit momentarily).

I did revert back to a Windows checkpoint last night. Can't see how that would cause any issues, though.

I've run an anti-virus programme (AVG Free) in safe mode, and also cleared a few nasties away using SpyBot & AdAware, but this made no difference anyway.

Window XP Home.
