Programme deletion

  mousey 20:39 15 Jun 07

I am trying to remove a game called Specnaz that a friend put on my computer and when I try add/remove programmes it keeps asking for the disk which I and my friend no longer have, and so can't complete the removal. I have tried removing the folder and any files I can find with My Computer but the game still exists! Does anybody know of a method or programme that will delete this awful game without my trying to find someone with a copy of the game? Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks, Mike.

Thanks for the quick responses guys but even trying CCleaner it still demands the disk to start deleting any files. Any other good ideas still gratefully received.

Thanks, Mike.

Did you also run CCleaner in its default mode, i.e. with all boxes ticked as shown when first opened.

Try removing it by starting computer in safe mode then control panel add/remove. Or you could try using the windows search function and removing it from prefetch then restart computer and try removing normally.
