Having removed all references to two programs from the registry, I am left with both programs but no radio buttons to "change or uninstall" in control panel "add/remove programs".Any idea's please. Pop

It might be a stupid question but why did you remove the references in the registry in the first place? You usually remove a program using add/remove programs in control panel and if it leaves bits behind, which a lot of them do, then download ccleaner click here and it can help delete left over files.

JV16 Power Tools click here has an option to clear unwanted entries from Add or Remove programs.

The original fault was an error while trying to open Serif Movie Plus 4. I just kept getting "error 1324, The path, serif movie plus 4 contains an invalid character". I tried to uninstal theprogram in control panel "uninstal programs but just kept getting the error as above.I went through every line in the registry, and deleted every reference to serif. 7 programs in all. I have MSN desktop seach installed. This only brings up my Emails to Serif. I also have "Innovations add remove plus" this do'se not even show the programs.Serif are stumped.

If Serif is installed using the Windows Installer then you could try running the Installer Cleanup Utility click here then reinstalling.

What about VoG's suggestion?

There is a smaller free program (also by JV16 Power Tools) called RegCleaner click here, that may help. G
