'program not responding'

  jack 13:58 19 Nov 05

When that happens to you what do you do?

System Restore?
Unload reload program?
Or is there a simple tweak one can apply?

I press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring up task manager and close the problematic program down and then restart it.

Ctrl+Alt+Delete brings up Task manager.
Click on program and click end task.

Sometimes even the O.S. is being silly so by Ctrl+Alt+Delete and Alt+F4, I reboot into a fresh system again.

if you have windows xp, just right click task bar and bring up task manager. a much faster way.

Yes, thats what I do, but if a particular program persists in 'not responding'- what do you conclude?

Uninstalling and reinstalling should work.
