Program to convert text to speech?

Hi, I remember visiting this site recommended by this magazine I bought (which I can't find anymore). It allowed you to type in text and then it creates a WAV file or something with a voice saying out the words. I really would love to do something like that again since I have an oral exam for Italian in 2 weeks and it would be nice to listen to my stuff on my Minidisc player over and over again. I'll try and search again for that magazine but in the meanwhile, does anyone know of any such websites or programs which does this? I don't have a microphone by the way.

I know what you're talking about but like you can't remember who it was that you could get the software from... I'll have a think and ask a friend or two and get back if I can find it...
