I currently have an AMD K6-2 450Mhz Super Socket 7 CPU running on a motherboard (make unknown) with ALi M 1541 chipset which supports 60/66/75/83/95/100 Mhz FSB Clock. Is it possible to upgrade to 500Mhz(or greater)processor and what other changes would be involved(BIOS etc,)

(1) upgrade to 500MHz will make very very little (or no difference)

(2) you may find it difficult to find faster CPU for socket 7

(3) one suggestion: why do not get a motherboard, cpu and memoru bundle
