I'm hoping someone can tell me which to go for. The laptop i', looking at will come with an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.40 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache but has the option of an Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9300 (2.50 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 6 MB L2 cache. The ram is 4096MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM and it will have a 500gb hard drive. Will there be a big difference in performance between the two? I will use the internet regularly and play the odd game. I also may want to edit film from my HD camcorder.

Many thanks

Phil.

The biggest diference you will find between the two , is the memory. The more you have the better video work is carried on.
I dont think you will see any difference on general surfing though. just on applications that need higher specs.
Sounds like a nice machine though, wish I had one.
