I have an 8pin power supply socket on mainboard for processor but only a 4pin plug on a cable from the power supply unit. Does anyone know of a way around this or do I need a different PSU.

Any help here appreciated.

What mobo, and what does the manual say. My mobo required a 4-pin plug.

It is a Micro-Star mobo and the manual says it's an 8pin socket. I have just heard from another source that I need a psu with an eps connector on it.
Thanks anyway xania.
