As i have always had pentiums can someone tell me what an amd xp3000+ runs at to a pentium equivalant.

Er...basically, a 3.0Ghz Pentium. It was AMD's way of stating the "Standard" of the CPU despite the fact that they use a different architecture in the chip to that of Intel

slightly more to it, intels cpu's run at the said Mhz ie:P4 3000mhz -- whilst the AMD Athlons say, XP2600+ runs at 2088mhz. althou mhz are lower the amd cpu's do run alot faster althou intel cpu's are known to be more stable.....(i have the p4 3000mhz and athlon2600+ ,,,the athlon rips the p4

true upto the athlon 3000+ against the P4 but dont forget the xp3200+ V the P4 click here showing the athlon rule desktop pc (theres also the)amd 64bit cpu
