Probs reverting dynamic disk 2 basic

I had a mirrored disk setup in a server but the mirroring proved to be totally ineffective partly due to HP's setup methods. Both disks are dynamic. I want to revert the back up to basic. I broke the mirror and removed one of the partitions from the backup disk but W2K will not allow me to remove the system partition and the revert to basic option is greyed out.

I need to reclaim the full size of the disk in full not as partitions. I'm told I will need to remove the sytem partition outside of windows but W2K does not seem to offer anything like FDISK. Anyone know of a utility to do this? Any ideas at all?

Many thanks. It looks like the answer might be in there somewhere. I'll give it a try.
