Is this in Vista?

I don't know how to fix it, but you could try Publish to an .iso in Documents folder and then burn the .iso to DVD with appropriate .iso burning software like the free Imgburn prog or any that you already have.

Yes sorry this is vista I will try your suggestion. Only problem is I don't think my DVD player will play iso DVDs

An .iso DVD file is a sort of compressed image of a DVD, when you use the proper burning program it unpacks it and burns your DVD file to the disk.

You do not end up with a DVD with an .iso file on it. If your original MovieMaker file is an .avi (or whatever) then that is what you end up with on your burnt DVD.

.avi to .iso and then .iso back to .avi

One added advantage of this is you can burn your .iso file easily to a DVD at any time in future with no messing about.

Thankyou for that.
