problems using windows backup

  JOHN 22:17 17 Sep 04

when I try to backup to my cdwriter using Windows backup I get the following message " The backup filename ( G:/sept04), could not be used. Please ensure it is a valid path and that you have sufficient access.
Any ideas please. I have Norton installed but I have also tried Roxio easy cd creator.

You can't use Microsoft's own back up facility to back up direct to CD, as this is not supported.

I think what you have to do is back up to somewhere on your hard drive (say your desktop) and then burn the resulting file to CD.

Have a look at this thread click here or enter "backup" in the search box on the left of the page and you will see plenty of people trying to do the same thing!
