Problems upgrading from Visto to Windows 7

I've got a bespoke PC with 2 drives. I put all applications and programmes on C and all files, documents etc on D.

I tried 3 times to Upgrade my ever-freezing Vista to Win 7 Pro and 3 times it wouldn't go in and reverted back to Vista. First time may have been due to not disabling AVG.

I ran Win7 Advisor before each attempt, (with everything connected) and then tried to install with most extraneous things disconnected and as few applications running as possible.

My question is: If I go for a clean install on C, it shouldn't affect Drive D at all should it?

if you boot from the dvd, opt for custom install when asked, then format and install on C dive.

D should be left alone.

Thanks Sunny. What I thought but wanted to be sure before doing it
