Outlook Express was working fine this morning and suddently I get this message when trying to open emails.

"There was an error opening message". "An error has occurred".

I hasve tried a system restore, but the same message appears.
I do not have the disc for Outlook Express, it was preinstalled when I bught this computer only 3 months ago
Any advice please

i had a similar problem, a week ago. It was suggested i try one of the OE repair programs.
' easy outlook repair' worked for me.
you can 'google' it, download it, and run it.
It worked for me.

Hi can you remember how many messages was in your inbox?

If there was allot this can cause problems,

You can create a new inbox folder but your emails that are in there will be lost,

You can create a new Inbox folder using the following steps:
1. Exit Outlook Express.
2. Search your hard drive for Inbox.dbx and delete this file.
3. Restart Outlook Express. A new empty Inbox folder is created automatically

You can also create a new out box in the same way outbox.dbx
