Problems with Norton Internet Security and Outlook

  ajm 20:41 20 Aug 05

I use both MS Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express for my emails for 2 accounts. Emails were being sent and received and working fine until last two days when I did a live update for Norton Internet Security 2005. After that, I am unable to send or receive emails from both Outllok and Outlook Express, unless i disable Internet Security.

I re-configured the inbound/outbound acess control in the NIS 2005 firewall to allow all inbound and outbound for both Outlook and Outlook Express. No luck.

I went to the log file and NIS says that a port ( no number given) is blocking inbound/outbound when Outlook and Outlook Express are being run to send/receive email.

Short of re-installing NIS, is there a solution as I could not find one on the Symantec Website
