Problems with new SATA disk drive

Hello folks,
I just know that one of you will be able to solve this really easily, but it has me scuppered!
I just bought a new Western Digital WD 1600JS hard drive to add to the 2 HDDs already in my PC (I intend to use it for scheduled backup purposes).
The m/b is an Asus P5B , with 4 SATA ports. The first 2 of these are used by the first 2 HDDS, and these work fine.
When I install the new HDD, the BIOS recognizes it and "control panel" > "hardware devices" recognizes it, but it will not show up on "my computer". I expected it to be plug & play, but it seems I am not configuring something correctly, or could it be a driver issue?
Any suggestions uch appreciated

System is Core Duo E6600 + Asus P5B m/b + 2Gb DDR2 + 2 existing 160 Gb SATA hard drives.
Many thanks,
Richard.

You need to go to control panel/administrative tools/computer management/disk management to make the hdd active

Thanks Bilko, I'll give that a try.
Richard.

That did the trick.
Much appreciated,
