hello! recently i seem to have problems with my monitor! the screen keeps shaking and flickering at times and im worried it might go bust or something! ive already checked for a few obvious reasons why it might do this i.e. power & vga cable, reinserting graphics card, changing refresh rate or outside signal interferance but its none of these! so could it be that i may need to get a new one? also i have had this monitor since around july 1998 and its model is a packard bell 5480E!

Hi BeForU,

can you try the monitor connected to another PC? to see if it does the same?

well ive tried my monitor on my sisters pc and it seems to do the same as well! just a couple minutes ago before replying now, my monitor screen just suddenly flashed and went black, though the power was still on and now it seems to be working fine! for now!!! so is it time for a new monitor then?

unless you want to give the repair man a go but at today's prices it's hardly worth considering.
