Problems with Internet Explorer

Over the past two months or so, I have had many problems with Internet Explorer. In the main it keeps coming up with an error message stating that it as a problem and needs to shut down. It then proceeds to shut down with loss of activity. A re-boot or ocassional re-try usually solves the problem for a while.

Yesterday evening and today, Internet Explorer will not activate correctly at all, and just refuses to work. Is there a facility to either check or repair IE. Or is there a remedy to return IE to a fully operational programme.

Using Firefox at present, but would like to return to IE asap. Thanks for any help offered.

Just returned, restarted computer and IE appears to be working fine again (but for how long?). Will tick as resolved, and use VoG's info if required.

Thanks again VoG. Now ticked.
