Problems installing new hardware.

'lo all,

I've recently changed both my graphics card (from a Ti4400 to a Fx5900 Ultra) and my processor (from an Athlon 1900+ to an Athlon 3000) but Windows detects neither of these changes.

The graphics card fails to install every time I try, and the processor is reported as an Athlon 2100+.

My O/S is Windows XP, and my motherboard is an Asus A7V333.

Any suggestions?

uninstall the card in device manager, reboot, should get new hardware detected, make sure driver cd is loaded.
as for athlon, does your mobo bios support it?

Thanks for the quick response.

I've tried that with the grpaphics card on a few occasions - after going through the set-up process if announces that the install has failed at that the data was invalid

Flashed the BIOS, everything is tickety-boo.

Thanks for the suggestions though froggg, most appreciated.
