I'm fairly new to computers. I had windows 98, and now have windows XP. My problem is, i can't install my ( I'esprit)dual mode digital camera to windows XP. It keeps telling me, it's not digitally signed. Do'es this mean that i have to buy a new camera

Normally with XP you get a dialog box stating the driver is not signed but giving you the option to 'continue'. Just click this and the installation will complete.

I think that "not digitally signed" just means that Microsoft have not tested the software.

I've tried the 'continue'option. then another box appears, saying it needs to read a file. then asks me to type in the file 'stv680u.dll'. I've looked for this, but can't find it

Just go and get an updated file from the camera co website. Its their job to provide the certified drivers !!!
