Problems with IE8 and Flash Player

Anyone else having a lot of problems with IE8 and the latest Adobe Shockwave Flash Player update? With the addon enabled it causes lockups on pages and new tabs with a lot of CPU usage sometimes at 100%.

Shockwave is the culprit as I've disabled it and things have returned to normal.

Sorry I said Shockwave instead of Flash Player 10 plugin. I did download the plugin from the official Adobe site so there's little chance of malware, none found with SAS or my F-Secure virus scanner.

Remember to untick the 'free' google toolbar box in northumbria61's link if you don't wish to install it.

Download from here and install. Reboot and check add-ons in IE to see if latest installed.

It's a manual install instead of an update. If that does not work go to Adobe's site to run the uninstaller. Reboot and let your browser notify you of a need to install Flash.
