problems with flash

Suddenly every time I clear my temporary Internet files it also uninstalls Macromedia Flash player, so that every time I visit a flash enabled site I am prompted to reinstall it. This never happened before and I can't pinpoint it to any changes I have made. Macromedia suggest a mnanual uninstall and reinstall but this has not solved it. For some reason deleting my Internet cache now always uninstalls flash. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It should be, as far as I can tell, in the "downloaded programs" folder rather than in the temp internet folder.

Check to see where it actually gets to when downloaded.

Yes it is in the downloaded progs folder and also windows/system32/macromedia/flash and both get deleted when i clear the cache.
