Problems with disconnectivity

I have Aol Broadband through a BT Voyager Adsl modem and while surfing continuosly get an message local area connection 3 saying a network plug is not connected. This then takes a while to reconnect and freezes the surfing. How do I stop this happening.

Could it be the line, I am in a block of flats?
Or a conlfict in networking as I seem to have a lot of disconnected and unenabled network connections?
Where can I get an idiots guide to networing and understanding the network control panel?

may be a long shot but have you instaled the aol sp2 fix? i have not got the aol software on my computer to find out the keyword, but this was to fix connectivity problems. kind regards akanic

Can't you use the One Click Fixes that come with Aol to restore your connection?
