hi i was wondering if someone could help me,
i have a emachines 3220 with the motherboard model intel d834epi. my computer starts up and when the black screen comes on which shows the windows xp logo and the loading bar, after a few seconds the computer retarts and continues in this cycle continously. i have tried everything to reinstalling xp,which states 'failing to read drive R' does anyone have any ideas??ive also replaced the lithium battery on the motherboard and nothing looks out of the ordinary on the bios settings or know how to reset my hard drive or motherboard?

Crashing at the XP logo is usually a corrupt driver problem.

Boot to safe mode (F8 burrig boot up) and uninstal the drivers one at a time until you can start the PC normaly(start with the graphics driver first)
