Problems accessing a webpage

I had a spyware problem so ran ad-aware and spybot, however now I'm unable to access my homepage on the internet ( all other pages seem to be working fine. I can access it through a proxy like on though not directly though the site itself using either IE or Firefox. I've also tried restarting in safe mode with networking though unable to access it in this way either.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this and how I can solve it?

Have a look in your hosts file C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts using wordpad or notepad. See if there is an entry there for yahoo preventing it being accessed.

I already had a look at that, localhost is the only entry which I've tried both with and without to no avail.
