Problem with XP Service Pack 2

  Sam Stockdale 09:48 28 Feb 05

I have recently installed the Windows XP Service Pack 2 and have hit a problem. I have multiple profiles set up (one for each of the four members of the family). Now, my profile (the first) runs fine: same speed as before, no conflicts. My wife's, however, has become incredibly slow: slow, like ten minutes to load her profile, two or three minutes to load programs. As far as I am aware, the kids' profiles will be the same as my wife's (I can't be bothered to check them at the moment since they use them so rarely). I have cleared out stuff like Temporary Internet Files (of which she had 6 months' worth), Cookies, .tmp files, but it doesn't seem to have made much difference. Can anyone think what might be happening? Thanks in advance.

Try running antispyware program while in your wifes profile.
