Hi everyone

Colleague is trying to view PDFs in internet explorer 6 (latest service pack etc, win 98), and for some reason the files aren't downloading, she just gets the little blue "image downloading" icon (as opposed to the red cross) and nothing happens, adobe doesn't start etc.

We've checked everything we can think of and nothing doing. Any suggestions?!

Thanks,
Scott

Have you tried right clicking the file and trying to download it? It sounds like acrobat and ie are not seeing each other properly so a repair of either or both may be prudent. To repair acrobat, open acrobat click help tab then detect and repair.

Try disabling the automatic update in Acrobat. It asks for permission to check for updates but I have found the darn thing sometimes pops up behind your current window and then disappears if you minimise the explorer window, never to be seen again.
