Just got a Prolectric AS728185 USB 1GB MP3 player, tried to connect it to XP Home SP2 but got error USB Banwidth exceeded etc.

Before I installed a Logitech USB WEbcam with built in Mic.

Also on usb I have a Epson All in one with built in CArd Reader, SpeedTouch usb BBand modem, installation of a Nokia Mobile, this webcam and also attempted to to on the mp3 player.

Surely I haven't ran out of usb resources with a 4 rear usb 2 and x2 front usb 2 ports. thought usb device in xp could support upto 159 or some number like this

What can I check for this problem or is the MP3 player faulty

Stop the web cam and the the card reader an see if you still get the error

Will try this, if this cures the problem would it mean a bigger PSU as my spec is 1GB DDR400, FX5200 128MB AGP, x1 HDD, DVD, CDWRtr, P4 3GHz Sok478, USB SpeedTouch on Orange.

PSU is 400Watt The Epson is a All in One with built in Card Reader and cannot be shut off only if Printer is pulled from the machine.

Seems the Webcam causing the problem
