Iam having problems upgrading my hdd.I have a 80 gig hdd and i want to upgrade to a 120 sata hdd.I installed the latest sata drivers and i used drive image 7 to copy everthing from disk to disk from my 80gig to my 120gig,but when i disconect the 80 gig windows does not recognise the 120gig hdd,it says no disk found connect disk.I don't want to reinstal windows, also 120 gig hdd does not show up in the bios.I have done this upgrade before from 60 to 80 gig but not on sata and it worked.I am running XP Pro with 512 memory on a asus a7v600 motherboard with a asus 9800 grafics card. Please help?

Have you amended the bios bootup to use the sata drive may come as sata or scsi

Have a look at click here or do a search for sata lots of info there.

And if it doesnt show scsi or sata remove option to boot from ide an it should then find the sata drive and boot from it.
