I'm having problems transferring data to a USB flash drive and also to a flash memory card. The usb key is 2 gig and the flash card is 1 gig, but I cannot transfer more than about 500meg to either of them. The error message states that the file(s) cannot be created, not that the destination drive is full!
Windows xp sp2, 512meg ram, twin 3 gig pentiom 4 processors, VIA usb hub controller with latest drivers
any ideas??
thanks
Dave

When you plug in the drive do you get the option to 'open folder to view files'? If so just 'copy' and then paste to the drive.

sorry rdave13, it's not quite as simple as that.
Sorted the USB flash drive by changing the paging file settings to "system managed", but no luck with the card.
