Problem with some websites bt home-hub & pc

Hello - can anyone suggest anything...

We have 2 macs and a PC running xp. We moved recently from demon to talk talk (argh) and swiftly to bt option 3 with a homehub - all wirelessly connected.

Macs working fine but PC will only allow access to certain (very few) websites (including this one.

When I was briefly on talk talk I altered the MPU settings (lowered them) because I was unable to access my gmail. I since changed them back but now can access google, gmail and some other sites but mostly can't get through even though my connection says the connection is good or strong.

The connection does seem to be low sometimes but the computer is upstairs and I'm using a netgear wireless usb adapter that always seems to have been a bit ropey. I never had the "cannot find server" problems before however.

The macs work fine and can access any site they fancy ...

Does anyone have any ideas about how I might go about correcting this?

Any help or thoughts gratefully received.
