Problem running copy of CD Rom from Hard Drive

The prog in question is Siemens medical software called "magicview". It contains Scans, \X rays etc. The required viewer is included on the disc. It runs on any PC and autoruns when loaded. Of late it is not always loading up correctly. I have established that prob is not with disc. I have been able to get around this by running a shareware prog called "Disc clean". When I copy CD to HD in normal way, it will not run from the HD. Nothing indicates that it is inhibited in any way. It appears where I copy it to, but will not run when selected. I can see its contents on the HD, so I know it has copied successfully. Win XP Home, Tosh 2410 Notebook (512 RAM).Any thoughts please?? JM Dublin.

Do you have a cd emulator like Virtual Drive? That will be necessary to run the CD from your hdd.
