i have been using usb for connecting my ntl cable modem(the flat silver one)i wish to change back to ethernet.i powered down and swapped cables (usb for ethernet)i then powered up the modem, then powered up the used to be able to configure itself, and that would be that.not this time,so i tried to run the ntl cd and it started to install, then i got an error said that the usb modem was still installed.i tried to uninstall it but it wouldnt let me (win xp pro) i looked in "show hidden devices"and dissabled it.i had to do a system restore and use usb to get back online.i want to change to ethernet as i have a router to install.any clues?thanks, peter.
